Dell Inc. Financial Results- the Company Board (TM) for 2007-2008

by jules on September 11, 2009

The Company Board (TM) is a 3-dimensional landscape of a company’s financial results using a visual interface instead of a standard numeric format. This creates an easy way to follow relationships within the data.  You can use the Company Board to determine the health of a company, to analyze for strengths and weaknesses, and to look for recurring patterns.

In comparison to yesterday’s post of  financial results for Hewlett Packard (HP), here is a competitor company, Dell Inc. The video below shows how money moves between the years 2005 and the fiscal year for 2009, creating a visual  path of the flow of finances on the balance sheet and income statement.

There are 4 preview pages showing the Company Board for 2007 and 2008, along with the standard financial statements. You can access the full-size images through the Acrobat sharing feature, just use the menu button at the top of the Acrobat frame.

Over the next few months we will be posting a series of Company Boards for publicly traded North American and international companies and inviting your comments.  Please let us know if there are specific companies (or industries) you would like to see.
